Yesterday morning I appeared on Sky News where I insisted that Parliament and the public should have a right to see the studies the Government have conducted on the economic impact of Brexit.
Given that the EU will undoubtedly have done their own assessments on the impact Brexit will have on our economy, I cannot see how publishing the documents will undermine our negotiating position.
Bringing back control was at the core of the Brexit campaign, so there is no good reason why Parliament and the public should not see these papers.
I am pleased Parliament has requested these papers and I hope the Government will publish them soon, with any necessary redactions for any commercially sensitive information.
