I have received the below update from SGN regarding their gas works on Grand Drive.
---
Our project is progressing well and we've re-laid over 1200m of pipe and replaced more than 70 gas services connecting Grand Drive properties to the main to date.
Following the completion of our earlier phases, we're continuing to carry out work between Grand Drive's junctions with Heath Drive and Westway.
For everyone's safety around our site, Grand Drive remains one-way southbound for the duration of our work. Northbound motorists are reminded to use our diversion route by following the right turn only sign at Grand Drive's junction with Cannon Hill Lane. Access will be maintained for residents by following the diversion route.
Our temporary road closure at Grand Drive's junction with Southway also remains in place while we are working at the junction of Westway. We expect to fully re-open this junction by next Wednesday. Motorists will then be able to enter Southway and exit southbound on to Grand Drive.
London Borough of Merton have informed us of their intention to introduce a speed table in nearby Queen Mary Avenue. From Saturday 20 October, they’ll be working in Queen Mary Avenue for approximately eight days. They need to temporarily close Queen Mary Avenue at its junction with Grand Drive between Friday 26 and Saturday 27 October. Traffic and parking restrictions will also be in place for the duration of their work.
