The 2019 consultation into Heathrow Airport expansion has now closed.
Thank you to everyone who came to my public meeting and made submissions to the consultation.
I recently asked Heathrow Airport to set out the next steps, and you can find their response below. You can also download my response to the last consultation below.

From Heathrow Airport
Following our statutory consultation this summer, we are now analysing all feedback to help finalise our plans. We intend to submit our Development Consent Order application for expansion next year, which will then be referred on to the Planning Inspectorate, and will start an examination process which will include further scrutiny of our plans. The Planning Inspectorate will ultimately make a recommendation to the Secretary of State. The Airspace Change timeline is separate, as this is part of the Government’s wider Airspace Modernisation Strategy and needs to tie in with other airports. We are planning on consulting on proposed flight paths for expansion in 2022.
