I recently met with Merton Priory Homes to discuss their redevelopment of High Path estate. I raised with them many points that have been put to me by fellow constituents, notably:
· The need for new properties to be of similar size to their current layout, i.e. two or three bedrooms
· The need for there to be a mix of social, affordable and 'rent to buy'
· The need to take into greater account the wishes of the leaseholders
· The importance of high quality design and build, including open space
I will be holding a public meeting to discuss Merton Priory Homes' proposals, plans are to be finalised in September, more details will follow in future emails.
