Merton Conservatives and I have long made the case that the planning application for 456 new flats on part of the Tesco site on Burlington Road is a serious over-development and wholly inappropriate for the local area.
A new revised planning application has been submitted, which only reduces the heights of some of the buildings. The same problems with traffic flow, pollution and the impact on public services nearby remain, and I have objected on this basis.
If you would like to oppose this application, you must do so again before the deadline on 1st January by emailing [email protected] – please remember to include your name and address.
I have also asked that this deadline be extended to take account of the Christmas period.
