I listened to Theresa May's powerful speech to the House of Commons on the Domestic Abuse Bill today.
This shows why it is right for Parliament to be sitting.
Domestic abuse is a disgusting crime, that too often goes undetected and unpunished. This cannot and should not ever be tolerated.
I hope the Domestic Abuse Bill will become law as soon as possible, and I welcome that it includes economic abuse as a form of domestic abuse.
I also hope the Government consider Refuge's suggestion that domestic abuse survives have priority for social housing.
