It is an incredible honour to be re-elected to serve as the Member of Parliament for Wimbledon once again. Thank you for putting your trust in me.
My team and I have been working hard since the result of the election was announced, taking up individual issues on behalf of constituents. I am also continuing to fulfil the pledges I made during the election campaign, and I have:
- Written to the Mayor of London to make the case to keep Wimbledon Police Station open, so the extra police officers we will see locally will have a base to operate from.
- Asked the Minister for Transport to meet with me and Network Rail to discuss how we can deliver step-free access for Raynes Park, Motspur Park and other local stations.
- Requested a meeting with Merton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, to ask about the unacceptable delays to Morden Regeneration.
- Objected to the latest planning application for 456 new flats on part of the Tesco site on Burlington Road.
As ever, if you would like to bring any problem or issue you have to my attention, please email me on [email protected] or write to me at Office of Stephen Hammond MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.
Thank you once again. I have always put our constituency first and I will continue to do so.
