On Saturday the Government announced the extension of the Household Support Fund which is now available to local authorities – providing £5,933,036 to support the most vulnerable households as we deliver on our pledge to halve inflation.
- The Household Support Fund has already helped vulnerable families across Wimbledon through challenging times, so it is right that we continue this support as we work to halve inflation and grow our economy.
- That is why we have announced the extension of the Household Support Fund is now available to local councils, providing local authorities with an additional £842 million this year to establish schemes that support vulnerable families in their areas, such as food vouchers, energy saving packs, or items such as heated blankets.
- This funding will ensure that we continue to support vulnerable families with the cost of living as we deliver on our pledge to halve inflation.
Stephen Hammond MP said of the Government's announcement "It's great that this funding has been provided by the Government to help vulnerable families with the cost of living right across Wimbledon."
